On April 26, 2023, the GPIPC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Carbon Road Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Marine Nichido Fire Insurance (China) Co., Ltd. The three parties will continue to deepen their cooperation in industrial docking, environmental protection technology solutions, and green low-carbon services in the park, complementing each other's strengths, seeking common development, and jointly promoting the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality building of Chinese and Japanese enterprises.

After the successful conclusion of the signing ceremony, there was also an interpretation event regarding the "dual carbon" policy and green factory-related policies for Japanese-funded enterprises in the Suzhou region.

During the event, experts from the Secretariat of the GPIPC provided special training to the attending representatives of Japanese-funded enterprises on the domestic and international "dual carbon" policies and corporate strategies for responding to "dual carbon". They also shared their interpretations of green factory-related policies and the application process.

Next, the Secretariat of the GPIPC will continue to carry out promotional training activities on domestic and international "dual carbon" policy interpretation and corporate strategies for its partners and customers, working hand in hand with them to face new challenges and opportunities.

The Tokio Marine&Nichido Fire Insurance Company (China) Limited

Tokio Marine&Nichido Fire Insurance (China) Co., Ltd. the Green Partnership of Industrial Parks in China

In August 2016, the Green Partnership of Industrial Parks in China(referred to as "GPIPC"), a national-level alliance for green development consisting of 36 nationally recognized economic and technological development zones with significant achievements in green development such as Tianjin, Beijing, Suzhou, Guangzhou, was jointly established under the guidance of the Foreign Investment Department of the Ministry of Commerce. In May 2022, the Global Alliance of Special Economic Zones (GASEZ), initiated by eight special economic zone organizations from around the world including the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), was officially established. The GPIPC was the only Chinese initiator of GASEZ and serves as the contact office for GASEZ in China.

GPIPC is guided by Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and ecological civilization. It aims to implement the relevant requirements of the "Opinions on Promoting the Innovation and Upgrading of National Economic and Technological Development Zones to Build New High Grounds for Reform and Opening-up", and promote the green transformation and high-quality development of national economic development zones.

GPIPC mainly focuses on five functions: green information exchange platform, research platform for green development mechanisms, platform for connecting green industries, platform for green investment and financing services, as well as an international cooperation support platform.
